This area of the law is a
catch-all for technology driven projects that
actually combine more commonplace subject matters
such as, Intellectual Property (copyrights,
trademarks and patents), contracts and
business/corporate structures and entities.
Generally, the first place to begin is with the
“idea”. You supply that. We need to help you
protect that idea so that you can eventually exploit
its economic potential. An example of one simple
form of protection is known as a Non-Disclosure
Agreement (“NDA”). The link above provides you with
a sample NDA to review. (Remember however, to have
an attorney review it before you disseminate your
idea to others.)
Some of the clients that we
have helped take from start-ups and beyond have
their icons on this page. In addition to handling
most of the legal necessities of our clients in this
field, I developed a course for Hofstra University’s
Zarb School of Business. The course is called,
Internet and Cyberlaw. For your interest, and
for a better explanation and understanding of the
areas of law that affect technological and
multimedia development, a link to the syllabus for
the course is provided up above. Additional
research material can be found in the link box for,
Prof. Steve Salbu of the University of Texas, a
leading expert in the field.
